On behalf of the Board of Directors for P.E.I. Crime Stoppers, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the PEI Crime Stoppers Website. This site is intended to provide an overview of the P.E.I. Crime Stoppers program.
This year marks our 19th year of operation on Prince Edward Island and our goal of creating safer homes and safer communities continues to be at the centre of our partnerships with the public, law enforcement agencies, and the media. Our theme this year is "Child Pornography" and the horrible effect it has on our children and community. Our goal is to bring public attention to this crime in the hope that individuals committing these acts will be brought to justice. You can help!
It continues to be my privilege to serve on the PEI Crime Stoppers Board of Directors along with the many other committed volunteers, all of whom share a passion in working together to promote safety and well-being within our Island homes and communities. A very special "thank you" to each of you and to the many other volunteers who continue to support us.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all those anonymous callers to our "tipline" who continue to assist law enforcement agencies. Your calls do make a difference in the lives of those affected by crime!
