Theft of Trailer and Generators

Summerside Police Service are investigating the theft of a newer enclosed trailer and it's contents. The trailer was a "Stealth" trailer and contained three Honda GX630 Generators. The trailer was parked in a locked compound in an industrial area in Summerside. Sometime between the 17th of August and the 11th of September the theft occurred and the serial number of the trailer is #LBE0817HE051415. The Honda Generators bear serial numbers PWS0562047B, PWS0562048B & PWS0555025B. Sometime between 12pm March 06 and 7am March 7, 2018 culprit(s) stole 30 sheets of metal roofing from Stanhope Beach tourism and change rooms parking lot. Maritime Electric Reward Offered

Maritime Electric is urging Islanders to call Crime Stoppers to report any information related to the recent rash of copper thefts from it's Sub-stations. This rise of incidents in our substations causes very serious safety concerns for Maritime Electric Employees, First Responders and the Public. These safety concerns include everything from serious injury to death. The wire thieves are not excluded from these risks.

Thieves have broken into Maritime Electric's Sub-stations and stolen copper wire. The Sub-stations include Lorne Valley, West St. Peter's, Dingwells Mills, Scotchfort and Souris Sub-stations. In the process, the thieves cut out protective fences and seriously damaged equipment, which put Maritime Electric Employees at risk.

On Friday, April 20th crews were working to repair damage at the Lorne Valley Sub-station. As a result of the damage caused by the thieves, approximately 12,000 customers were without power for an extended period of time. These outages are not only dangerous to Maritime Electric personnel, but contractors, emergency personnel onsite and cause inconvenience to many customers.

Copper theft is very dangerous. The equipment that protects the substations and equipment was comprised and led to significant damage to our substations.

Maritime Electric is offering a reward of $5000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the thief/thieves.

Theft of F-150 in West Prince

West Prince Detachment are investigating the theft of a pick-up truck from the parking lot of a West Prince business, "Kevin's Front end Service", on Hwy #2 in Bloomfield Corner. At approximately 11:53 PM on the evening of Friday the 17th of March, West Prince Detachment received a complaint of a vehicle roll-over on Hwy #2 in Rosebank, very near the Detachment. A witness had seen the vehicle lose control and roll the pick-up into the ditch. The operator of the vehicle had a cut on his head. The driver was described as being in his 40s or 50s, wearing beige jacket. The driver of the truck was picked up by a passer-by and left the area before the RCMP were on scene. The investigation at the scene revealed that the vehicle was owned by Kevin's Front End Service.

Theft of Power Meter

The West Prince Detachment of the RCMP is investigating the theft of an electric meter from the side of a house Christmas morning. The theft was pin pointed to 4:00 AM, due to the power outage in the residence. The residence was located in Mount Royal on Route 148. Theft of ATV

At some point through the night on 2017‐07‐17/18, a dark green 2007 Suzuki (KingQuad) 700 all‐terrain vehicle (ATV) was stolen from a cottage at 30 MacDonald Shore Road in West Point.

Lic: 5H83 (P.E. attached)
VIN: 5SAAP41A877103153


The ATV had a number of accessories,
including aftermarket black and chrome rims, a 4,500 lbs. winch Installed on the front end, and a black 2nd seater utility
plastic box. Including all accessories, the ATV is worth approximately $9,000.

It is believed the suspect(s) rolled the ATV off the property, as the vehicle's key was inside the cottage, and the ATV was left in neutral when it was last used.

West Prince RCMP are investigating the following crime:The theft of gas from a Bloomfield corner gas station. On 2017 Feb 02 at 6 pm an unknown male subject put $ 51.00 worth of gasoline in his car, walked inside and then left without paying. The suspect was average height, no facial hair, aged between 30 and 40 years old, wearing jeans, black sweatshirt, black hat. A picture of the suspect was obtained from the store security footage [see attached].

West Prince RCMP are investigating the theft of mechanical parts. The theft occurred sometime between April 29 and May 13 at 14 Mackinnon Drive in O'Leary near the O'Leary Hospital.

The parts stolen were mechanical parts that were stored on site awaiting construction of a biomass boiler. This is where wood chips are used for fuel for the Hospital boiler.

The parts stolen:
2 galvanized steel transfer cases weighing approximately 400 lb each, 32 inches.

4 galvanized steel casing joints weighing approximately 100 lbs each, and 1 meter i length.

The stolen parts were custom made in Germany and valued at $4,000.00

On March 3rd, 2017 Queens District RCMP responded to a complaint of an attempted theft of a snow mobile from a property in the Harrington area. The owner reported that sometime over night person(s) came onto his property and attempted to take a snow mobile but were unsuccessful. They then gained access to his garage where took keys from a newer model ski-doo, an ATV and a farm tractor along with two helmets and a Makita Tool bag.

Then, on March 4th, 2017 Queens District RCMP received a complaint of a stolen snowmobile from another property in the same general area.

The Snowmobile is a black 2005 Ski-Doo GTX550 (PE licence plate number 3G31).

Sometime between the hours of 11:00 a.m. on October 13, 2016 and 12:00 p.m. on October 14, 2016, a unknown suspect(s) stole 5 tuna fishing rodd's from a fishing boat stationed at the North Lake Wharf.

The brand names of the fishing rodd's taken are 3 Penn rodd and Reels, a Shimano rodd and reel, and a Kite rodd and reel. The value of the items taken is approximately $10,000.

Theft of shellfish - Websters Corner, Prince Edward Island

RCMP were alerted OCT 13, 2016 to a theft of quahaugs from Hickey's Wharf in Websters Corner.

The owner of the shellfish reported that sometime between 5:00 p.m. Wednesday evening, October 12 and 10:00 a.m. October 13, 35-40 bags of quahaugs which were being stored in bags along the shoreline after being harvested were stolen. There were approximately 12,000 quahaugs in total in the bags which have a value of approximately $1,950.00.

The bags are mesh in nature and of various colour.

This type of deliberate theft of victimization through theft is not to be tolerated and RCMP would ask that members of the public and business community be diligent in determining the source of any quahaugs being sold. On Canada Day, Queens District RCMP received a complaint of three stolen boats from an unlocked shed in Hope River, PEI. One of the boats is a 14 foot handmade cedarstrip rowboat that has great sentimental value to the owner. The second boat is a navy blue wooden Optimist sailing dinghy with the name "Sweetie Pie" on the side. The third boat is a 7 foot blue plastic rowboat.

Golf carts stolen and damaged - York, PEI

On Saturday, June 25th, Vesey's Seeds in York, P.E.I., reported to the Queens RCMP that 10 golf carts were removed from their business property overnight on Friday the 24th. It appears that the carts were driven to the local area known as 'the pit' and later returned to Vesey's Seeds property. The carts were a combination of new and trade-in models and were returned damaged. The exact cost of repairing the damages is still being assessed.

Queens District RCMP are investigating the theft and asking members of the public for assistance in regard to any information about this incident. RCMP also ask that suspicious activities be reported to police whenever warranted for further investigation.

Between the 26th and 29th of May 2016 2 Yanes Explorer Kayaks went missing from a cottage in Rocky Point. Photos below. Both were single seater with the storage compartments and rudder. An aluminium extendable 16-32 foot ladder was also stolen from the same location.

Kings District RCMP are investigating the following crime:
The Esso in Murray River reported that there had been a theft of propane tanks from a storage container on the north side of the building on the morning of Sept. 29, 2015. Surveillance shows that around three a.m. a suspect came from behind the store to the container and uses a bolt cutter to gain entry. A passenger van pulls up but the driver never gets out. The back is opened and 11 full propane tanks are placed inside. The vehicle is a passenger van that seems to be in good shape. The only distinguishing feature is that the plate appears to be hanging down on the left side.

The South Kings RCMP Detachment is seeking the publics assistance in solving the following crime.

Sometime between 11:00 p.m., on August 8, 2015, and 6:00 a.m., on August 9, 2015, a substantial amount of oysters were taken from the Pinette River. Approximately 100 boxes of oysters were stolen from a holding area, valued at $15,000. The person(s) responsible for the theft would have used a boat to access the oysters before being loaded into a vehicle.

Theft of Velocirapotr Replica - New Glasgow, PEI

Queens District RCMP are investigating a theft of a statue from a well known Business in the community of New Glasgow.

On Saturday the 6th day of June 2015, RCMP received a complaint from the owners of the Toy Factory reporting that sometime over night someone stole a life sized Velociraptor dinosaur from a display on their property.

The structure which was approximately 6 feet tall was installed in front of a store earlier this week and was mounted to concrete. During the theft thieves ripped the structure from its concrete foundation, breaking both legs.

Summerside Police Services are investigating the following crime:
On Saturday February 28th, 2015 at approximately 8:45 PM two young males were walking North on Central Street in front of S&E Grocery. The male victims were each wearing kitbags one a purple/maroon Volcom bag and the other a Grey/Silver Oakley bag. There was an undisclosed amount of money in both kitbags. The two male suspects came from behind, and demanded the victims to give them their kitbags and pushed them to the ground. The suspects left on foot with the kitbags and disappeared on Robinson Ave.

Theft of Light Bar - Charlottetown

Sometime, December 6/14 in Charlottetown someone stole the top light bar and the side LED lights off of a jeep.
It was a 40" rigid industry light bar and two dually LED spot lights (the two lights next to the windshield in the picture).

Theft of Generator July 2014 - Morell

On 2014-07-06 Souris RCMP received a report of a theft of a 6500 watt Lifan brand generator from a shed located at a residence in Morell.

Theft and Damage at National Park, Dalvay, P.E.I.

Queens District RCMP are investigating two separate incidents of theft and property damage that occurred at the National Park's maintenance compound located in Dalvay, PEI.

The first incident occurred between November 23 and November 24, 2014. Persons entered the secured compound and removed two orange vehicle mounted light bars from a parked vehicle. The culprits then siphoned oil from an oil tank and then proceeded to steal the fibre glass oil tank as well. As a result of the removal of the oil tank, an oil spill occurred. Parks Canada has remediated the site and initiated an investigation with police into the spill, which also constitutes a violation under the National Parks Act.

The second incident occurred between the evening of Friday, November 28 and the early morning hours of Saturday, November 29. A Honda generator, two reciprocating saws (Bosch cordless, Milwaukee), five chain saws, and a truck tool box were stolen from the park. Another red emergency vehicle light bar, and grill lights were also taken from a parked vehicle. A Parks Canada service truck was stolen and later recovered in the park. The vehicle is a white pick up truck with green stripes on the side and back.

The RCMP is asking anyone who saw a vehicle matching this description in the Dalvay/Stanhope area of the P.E.I. National Park late Friday night or early Saturday morning, or anyone with any information relating to either of these incidents, to contact the RCMP at (902) 368-9300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Stolen Vehicle Strikes Hydro Pole

Charlottetown Police Services received a report November 25, 2014 at 4:50am regarding a vehicle striking a hydro pole on Beach Grove Rd. Police arrived at location and ascertained that the vehicle had struck a pole snapping it. No driver could be located and police determined that the vehicle had been stolen earlier from an address on University Ave.

Theft of Fuel and Fiberglass Tank - Parks Canada Dalvay

Queens District RCMP are investigating the following crime:
Over the weekend of Nov. 21/24th. 2014 culprits removed a 1,129 litre fiberglass fuel tank and approx 800-1000 litres of furnace oil from the noted location. Value of the tank and oil is estimated at $3300.00 Subsequent spillage of oil as a result of the theft is expected to cost in the range of $10,000.00 plus.

Two generators were stolen from Sizzler's BBQ in Cornwall. Valued at $2800 each.

Theft from Vehicles - Halliday Road, Eldon

On the morning of Saturday October 18th,2014 Montague RCMP received several complaints from residents who had items stolen from vehicles or buildings. Some of the items included a GoPRO, camera and a Notebook laptop which contained photos and videos which are valuable to the owner.

Theft of submersible water pump, pvc pipe and copper wire

THEFT of DIESEL FUEL - MONTAGUE AREA

Theft Truck Doors New Annan

CRIME OF THE WEEK NOV. 25 2013
On Sunday, November 3rd, 2013, RCMP East Prince received a report of a theft from a motor vehicle. The front driver and passenger doors from a dark red 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 were reported stolen by the owner. The vehicle was located in the owner's driveway in New Annan when the doors were taken off and stolen. The theft would have happened between 11 PM on November 2nd, 2013 and 8 AM November 3rd, 2013.

Utility Trailer - Plate 188T3

Charlottetown Police Services responded to a complaint Sunday October 27, 2013 in the
afternoon regarding the theft of a small utility trailer. Complainant informed Police that theft occurred the previous night, and that trailer had PEI plate 188T3 attached. Complainant also states that that there is bolted plywood along the bottom edges so that items would not fall through.

Sometime between September 1st, 2013 and September 16th, 2013, a skid trailer with a post hole digger on it was stolen from a residence on MacInnis Road in North Winsloe.

The trailer is described as green in colour with two John Deere stickers on the fenders. It has a VIN number of 2C9TS32563M164007.

Theft From Vehicle - MacAusland Lane, Mill River East

Prince District RCMP are investigating the following crime:
Sometime overnight Oct. 14/15 2013 someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked outside an cottage on MacAusland Lane in Mill River East. The stole a wallet containing a considerable amount of cash and several credit cards. They also stole two cases of beer from a shed on the property. RCMP are reminding the public to lock their vehicles and remove valuables when parked overnight.

Theft of copper wire - Kelvin Grove

CRIME OF THE WEEK - OCT. 21, 2103

East Prince RCMP are investigating a theft of electrical wire which occurred overnight on September 29th.

The suspect(s) stole electrical wire which was used to power farm equipment. The farm property was located on Route 107 (Blue Shank Road) in Kelvin Grove. Similar thefts have occurred at other locations within the last few weeks. Police are seeking the assistance of the public in identifying the suspect(s) and/or suspect(s) vehicle.

Theft of 2011 Ford Mustang - East Bideford, PE.

CRIME OF THE WEEK - SEPT. 23 2013
The East Prince RCMP are investigating the following crime and are seeking information on the theft and accident.

In the early hours of September 14th, 2013 a black was stolen from a residence in East Bideford, PE. The car was distinctive, having several after-market modifications. The Mustang was located abandoned at 02:45 AM near Ellerslie after the thief had apparently lost control, and crashed and rolled the car in a wooded swamp.

Stolelen 2001 Dodge Ram 4X4 Black

Charlottetown RCMP are looking for assistance in locating a stolen pickup truck. On Friday night, September 6 2013 at exactly 22:55, two individuals were observed on video surveillance tape stealing a locked truck from the parking lot of Cornwall Auto and Tire, located at 14 Route 1, Trans Canada Highway in Cornwall PE.
The description of the truck is a 2001 Dodge Ram 4X4 pickup, extended cab. Black in color. It has chrome tube style step bar on both sides. There is a 4 inch lift kit with new Bridgestone tires. There are three cracks in the dash of the truck, a cigarette burn in the rear seat, and heavy duty wires coming from the rear floor. The rear sliding window lock is broken and held in the locked position with a wire.

The Summerside Police Service is currently investigating the theft of windows and a door from the YMCA, which was reported on August 6th, 2013. It appears that sometime between Friday, the 2nd day of August, 2013, and Tuesday, the 6th day of August, 2013, culprit(s) stole five windows and one door that were in the alley next to the daycare building. The door was a steel Masonite door. The windows are Kohler brand, and they are custom made for the building with the following sizes:

A sports bike was stolen from 1683 Route 127 in Richmond between 2013/07/11 12:00 and 2013/07/14 00:24.The stolen motorcycle was a 2008 Honda CBR125, black VIN MLHJC392485103192, no plate attached.
Bike is a low CC and won't go over 110 km/h, and is very identifiable.

Stolen truck - Cavendish

Cavendish RCMP are reporting that on July 2nd 2013 between midnight and 4:30 a.m., a 1998 GMC pick-up truck was stolen from a driveway on Route 6 in Oyster Bed Bridge. The truck is burgundy in color and has a matching cap. The vehicle has a P.E.I. licence plate XE 802.

Gas drive off in Morell at the Irving (Needs). Occurred April 1st, 2013 around 14:27 hrs. Truck was hauling a car dolly. Truck is quite unique as per photo. Male occupant pumped $125.00. He came inside the store, bought other items, was asked twice if the gas was his and he said no. The man got back in the truck and left. No plate was obtained.

Snowmobile stolen from Meadowbank residence

Sometime between the hours of 10:00 p.m. January 9, and 7:00 a.m. January 10,2013 a snowmobile was stolen from a residence on Dingwells Lane in Meadowbank, P.E.I.

The snowmobile is described as a 1995 Bombardier Formula 380, red in colour. It has a red "ROADWARRIER RECREATION" sticker on the windshield and a distinctive yellow cord along the edge of the drivers seat.

A white cargo van was observed driving slowly in the area on the afternoon of the 9th of January.

Theft From Motor Vehicle - Camera Stolen, St. Claire Ave.

Crime of the Week - June 11,2012

Charlottetown Police Services received a complaint the morning of June 5, 2012
regarding a theft from a vehicle parked on St. Claire Ave. Complainant informed Police that thieves stole a black Canon 50D SLR cameras, serial # 0520325381 also stolen were a 70-200 Canon F4 Lens (Serial #85586882), Canon 50-1.4 Lens, Polarizer Filters, 540 or 580 Flash and and UDMA card.
All the camera equipment was in a Lowepro Camera Bag. The owner is very interested in the recovery of the UDMA card which contains irreplacable photographs. Card can be mailed to Box 2708, Charlottetown, PE C1A 8C3

Theft of Electrical Cable - Silver Fox Yacht Club

"CRIME OF THE WEEK JUNE 4,2012"

On May 3rd 2012 Summerside Police Service received a complaint of approximately 500 feet of electrical cable stolen overnight from the Silver Fox Yacht Club. Inside the cable were three separate columns of copper. The theft occurred sometime between April 30th 2012 and May 2nd 2012. The estimated replacement value of the cable is between $6,000 - $8,000.

Theft From Motor Vehicle - Westhill Dr., Charlottetown

Charlottetown Police Services received a complaint the morning of May 8, 2012
regarding theft from a motor vehicle. Complainant reports parking his car on Westhill Dr., overnight and returning to find that thieves had stolen several items. Missing from vehicle are a Nikon camera, Bulova watch, and a white gold wedding ring, engraved with the letters TF, with a circle around the letters and the date Aug 22/98.

Theft of Motorcycles - Alberton

CRIME OF THE WEEK - MAY 28, 2012
On April 23, 2012, two motorcycles were stolen from a Church Street residence in the town of Alberton, PEI. A black Sport Bike Kawaski ZX636 and a Kawaski KX250 Dirtbike were reported stolen on the morning Monday April 23rd. The motorcycles were last seen in the residence's driveway Sunday night. The RCMP is seeking the assistance of the public in order to recover these motorcycles.

Theft of Tools - Stratford

RCMP would like the assistance of the public in solving a property crime in the Stratford area.

Sometime during the evening of April 3rd, 2012 and early morning of April 4th, 2012, a construction trailer was broken into at a new construction home on Saints Crescent in Stratford.

Items taken include a Hitachi Air Nailer; a Dewalt radio with the company name "Titan Homes" noted on it; Dewalt drill batteries; and, a halogen work light.

Attempted Theft and Damage - CUP Summerside

Summerside Police are requesting the public's assistance in identifying those responsible for the attempted theft and damage to a red Ford Ranger truck that had been left in the parking lot of the Credit Union Place on the night of March 12th, 2012. The windows and side mirrors were damaged.

In the early morning hours of March 13th police seized a wheel chair, pop and alcoholic beverages along with numerous bags of candy from the truck which are suspected to have been stolen.

Theft of Copper Wire Cavendish Farms - New Annan

"CRIME OF THE WEEK - MARCH 5TH., 2012"

East Prince RCMP are investigating the following crime:
Overnight February 28th, 2012 thieves entered the Cavendish Farms property in New Annan and stole 350 feet of copper wire valued at over $5000 which was attached to the grounding system for the bio gas plant.

The stolen wire was cut from an elevated catwalk which ran very close to a high voltage power line which could have caused death or serious injury had the suspect come in contact with it. The damage from the theft left an unsafe work environment which placed could have placed employees of the plant in jeopardy had they not discovered the theft.

This is the third incident of theft of copper wire in the New Annan area in recent weeks that RCMP are investigating and ask that community members be aware of the ongoing issue and provide ANY suspicious activity to the local RCMP office for followup. "CRIME OF THE WEEK FEB. 27,2012"

On 15 February ,2012 Charlottetown Police Services received a complaint regarding the theft of a diamond ring from Charm Diamond Centre located within the Charlottetown Mall on 670 University Ave. Staff report a male approx 20 years old, 5'0ft, white winter coat/blue pin stripe, pale complexion, red hair as well as red facial hair, and wearing a ball cap ran from the store after stealing a ring. Diamond ring stolen is described a white gold diamond ring (small diamonds equaling 1/2 carat).

Theft of Groceries - Montague

Montague RCMP are requesting the public's assistance in helping identify a male suspect who recently stole groceries from two major grocery chains in the town of Montague.

On January 25th the male attended the Montague Superstore, proceeded to load a basket full of product and left the store without paying. It is believed he was in a SUV type of vehicle when he left the area.

On January 27th the same male entered the Montague Sobey's grocery store. He once again proceeded to fill a shopping cart full of product and left the store. Employees attempted to intervene but the suspect ran leaving the cart in the parking lot, the value of which was valued over $500.

Theft of Dangerous Animal Medication from Farm

Sometime between December 12, 2011 and December 18, 2011 unknown person(s) stole animal medication from a farm in Cornwall. Among the medication taken was Micotil, which is an antibiotic used for respiratory illness in cattle and can be fatal if ingested by humans according to a local veterinarian. The medication is a tinted liquid and can be taken orally or injected. Other medications, which were intended for cattle, taken include Resflor, Lidocane, Vitamine A D and E, Selenium. All medications were in 250 ml bottles.

Theft of car batteries - Coleman Corner

West Prince RCMP are investigating the the following crime:
Between the evening of December 23rd 2011 and the afternoon of December 27th 2011. Various car batteries were taken from a transport trailer parked at the public parking lot at the intersection of Route 2 and Route 14 (Coleman Corner). It appears that the person(s) responsible cut the lock at the back of the trailer and made their way inside, at which point 36 car batteries were taken valued at approximately $3,600.

Theft of Long Guns - Orwell

Montague RCMP are investigating a theft of two long guns from a vehicle in Orwell which occurred sometime overnight on November 27th, 2011.

Thefts from Motor Vehicles - Charlottetown

Charlottetown Police Services are investigating several incidents of thefts from vehicles in the Charlottetown area that have occurred over the past week:

November 8th. 2001 on Bishop St.
Thieves removed a black Canon Digital Powershot SD 1300, serial number 092164008767.

November 8th, 2001 thieves removed a black Sony Handycam, serial number 027242791787.

November 11th 2011 in the Goodwill Avenue area. Thieves removed Canadian and US Currency from a wallet left in the vehicle as well as numerous identification cards and other personal items.

We would like to remind the public not to leave vauluables in parked vehicles and to ensure your vehicles are locked.

Montague RCMP are seeking assistance from the public in learning the identity of a man who entered the Home Hardware Building Center in Brudenell, PEI Saturday October 22, 2011 at 1135 am, and stole a $800 generator.

Police know that the suspect was operating a late 1990's or early 2000's Wine coloured Dodge Caravan. The suspect is a white male, about 5'11'' tall wearing a two tone green gortex jacket.

Theft of Dirt Bike & BBQ

Queens District RCMP are investigating the following crime:
Between 4th and 8th June 2011 someone went to a cottage situated at 29 The Commons Place Road, Wheatley River and stole a 2009 BAJA DR 70 , vin # LUAHYP10481000675 red/white dirt bike which had been chained to the cottage deck. Thief(s) removed a piece of the deck to remove the Chain and dirt bike. The chain had a green cover. Approx one week later someone went to the same cottage and stole a barbecue from the deck. Barbecue was black with a side burner. Barbecue approx. 5-6 years old.

Theft Copper - Maritime Electric Rattenbury Substation

Recently thieves broke into Maritime Electric's Rattenbury Substation by cutting and removing a lock on the security gate. They stole approximately 20-30 metres of copper wire, voltage regulator connectors and some cutout doors. This stolen equipment protects the substation and workers from lighting strikes. Subsequently a lightning storm occurred on June 19 and, with the station compromised by the theft, significant damage occurred and more importantly created a huge safety risk to Maritime Electric workers who could have been seriously injured or killed.employees.



Maritime Electric considers this a very serious situation and is requesting the assistance of the public in solving this crime and preventing any future thefts. Maritime Electric are offering a reward of up to $5000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the thief/thieves for this offence.

Some time between the 21st of April and the 4th of may 2011, a Giovani 110CC 4 wheeler was stolen from a residence on Route 12, Central Lot 16. Abegweit First Nation Community Police Service RCMP are investigating the theft of four Johnson 30 HP outboard motors from Scotchfort,PEI sometime between April 14 and April 25, 2011.

    THEFT - SUMMERSIDE

    Summerside Police are investigating the following crime:

    On Wednesday March 23rd, 2011 an unknown male entered the main lobby at Credit Union Place in Summerside. He went to a display and cut plastic ties that were holding a Stihl Quick Cut Grinder and walked out the doors while covering the unit with a jacket.

  • Scruffy beard

  • Left in a 4 door silver vehicle

    The item stolen was a new Stihl TS420 Quick Cut Grinder with a 14' blade it is used for cutting concrete and metal. The serial number is 171134215. The item is values at $1200.

    On November 15th, 2010 there was a complaint made about theft of copper wire from a potato warehouse in Union, PE. The complainant stated that sometime within the last three weeks someone had stripped approximately 500 feet of copper wire from his warehouse. The complainant figures it will cost approximately 8 - 10 thousand dollars to replace the wire.

    In late July 2010, the owner of a commercial fishing boat reported that his boat had been removed from, and later returned to, its mooring at Machon's Point Wharf, Murray Harbour. The vessel was gone for an unknown period of time. During the time that the boat was taken, the person(s) responsible caused extensive damages to the inboard motor resulting in repairs costing tens of thousands of dollars.

    On September 13, 2010, at 10:00am, Charlottetown Police were dispatched to the Carvell Court area to investigate the theft of a black leather wallet from a motor vehicle overnight.

    Two other vehicles in the nearby area, one on Upper Queen Street and one in Browns Court, also had items stolen from inside the vehicles sometime overnight. Items include a wallet, an IPOD and CD's.

    In both the Upper Queen Street and Browns Court thefts, entry was gained by breaking the window glass.

    THEFT - STRATFORD

    Stratford RCMP are investigating the following crime:

    Thieves drove across the front lawn of a Stratford business, cut through a chain link fence and stole approximately 500 lbs. of used bricks from a demolition yard.

    The theft occurred between June 17-18 at Bull Dog Demolition on the Mason Road.

    The RCMP said that the thieves, believed to have used a truck to commit the theft, would have driven on the Mason Road or back to the Trans-Canada Highway to flee the scene.

    THEFT - WOODSTOCK

    West Prince RCMP are investigating the following crime:

    On May 9th, 2010 West Prince RCMP responded to a complaint of a theft of radiators from several retired farm vehicles that were being utilized for parts. The farm had previous lost three (3) radiators some of which were being kept for a specific piece of machinery with an estimated replacement cost of $3,000. The initial theft occurred between April-June 2008.

    Unfortunately, the farm was once again targeted between April-May of 2010 where an additional six (6) radiators were stolen worth approximately $600. The RCMP believe that the radiators are being sold to various scrap metal yards and are encouraging anyone with information relating the recent thefts of radiators in West Prince to contact crime stoppers or their local RCMP detachment.

    THEFT OF VEHICLE/ARSON - CHARLOTTETOWN

    Charlottetown Police Services are investigating the following crime:

    On May 24th, 2010 between 8:30PM and 9:00PM someone stole a vehicle from a local towing company's impound located on the Sleepy Hollow Road.

    Culprits entered the impound by ramming or pushing on the gate with a vehicle until it broke open. Inside they stole a 1979 Caprice Classic and proceeded up the Sleepy Hollow Road and drove the vehicle to the Union Road where the vehicle was set on fire in a pit and completely destroyed.

    Around the same time witnesses observed a similar vehicle on the Union Road in the area of the pit with two occupants being followed by a dark colored extended cab truck.

    THEFT - PORTAGE AND ENMORE

    East Prince RCMP are investigating the following crime:

    On May 16, 2010 RCMP responded to a complaint of theft of gasoline from an oyster boat at a residence in the Portage area between the hours of 11:00 pm and 7:00 am. The gasoline container was five gallon, red in color and plastic. A Unex chainsaw was taken as well.

    On May 17, 2010 RCMP responded to a complaint of theft of gasoline from an oyster boat at a residence in the Enmore area that occurred around the same time. The two gasoline containers were five gallon, red in color and plastic.

    THEFT OF SOIL TAMPER - MONTAGUE

    Montague RCMP are investigating the following crime:

    On February 2nd, 2010 a Bomag Tamper used to compact soil was stolen from a local construction site. The Tamper is black in color and is valued at $4000.00.

    THEFT - ALMA

    Prince District RCMP are investigating the following crime:

    Some time between February 3, 2010 and March 3, 2010 someone removed approximately 500 feet of heavy gauge wire from a construction company in Alma. The actual loss was not realized until March 3, 2010 so the actual time of theft is unclear.

    THEFT - MONTAGUE

    Montague RCMP are investigating the following crime:

    Sometime between late February and March 12 2010, a large quantity of copper wire was stolen from the Montague Marina located on Station Street in Montague. The amount of copper wire was substantial.
