The Kings District RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the individual(s) responsible for damage to fishing gear in Launching, PEI.

On June 21, 2021, Kings District RCMP received a report of several buoys being cut from lobster traps along a trap line near the wharf in Launching. One of the buoys was removed from the water and painted with a profanity referencing the owner's ethnic background.
The RCMP is taking this incident very seriously, and is being investigated thoroughly, including whether it was racially motivated.

Vandalism of Signs - Kings County, PEI

Kings District RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the individual(s) responsible for the following vandalism.

Sometime overnight on Thursday September 9th. 2021 two of Lawrence MacAuley's election signs were vandalised. Written on the signs using black spray paint was offensive, racist language and diagrams.

Police are looking for any information regarding the destruction of these signs and the person(s) responsible. One of the signs was located at the intersection of Route 4 and Route 2 in Dingwells Mills (Picture attached), while the other one was located on Route 16 near the turn to Naufrage Harbour.

On the night of Friday, January 31st, 2020, between 10:00 - 10:30 pm a 21 year old women pulled her car to the side of the road on Route 10 in Central Bedeque. As the women was dealing with a mechanical issue a second vehicle stopped and a male offered assistance then turned on the women assaulting her and trying to rob her. The man was scared off by a passing vehicle and the women was able to call for help.

Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle / West Prince PEI

Prince District RCMP are investigating an incident of Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Flight from Police that occurred on Hwy #2 near Portage on the 26th of June, during the morning commute to school. A black Acura TL with a chrome grill was east bound on Hwy #2 and passed several vehicles at a high rate of speed. It used the left turn lane to Rt #12 to pass a line of traffic, including three school buses, in it's haste to escape from an RCMP vehicle attempting to stop the vehicle.

identifying individuals responsible for operating 4 Wheelers on the
streets and highways in O'Leary, Alberton and Tignish, and surrounding areas.
These vehicles being operated on the highway are not only illegal, but pose
a risk to the riders, passengers, other pedestrians, cyclist and
operators of motor vehicles. If anyone has information that will

Damage to Property / Murray Harbour Community Hall

Sometime between 4 PM on the 24th of April and 4 PM on the 25th of April a vehicle drove into the back side of the property , near where the flag pole stands, and left two very large and deep ruts on the soft lawn. Multiple Tire Puncturing Instances / Wellington PEI

Two vehicles owned by the Mayor of Wellington have been repeatedly vandalized. On the 28th, 29th and 30th of April, person(s) uknown have repeatedly punctured the tires of a grey Honda Civic and a grey Honda Accord. The incidents of tire puncturing have occurred at the Mayor's residence at Riverside Drive in Wellington and at the rink parking lot at the Expo Center in Abrams Village.

Hit and Run Collision / Rt. 322 Morell PE 12th Dec 2018

Kings District RCMP are investigating a hit-and-run collision on Route 322 in Morell. The collision took place some time between 5:30 PM and 6:45 PM on the 12th. The suspect vehicle is likely a pick-up truck, and could possibly be white in color. The two vehicles were travelling in opposite directions in poor weather,the victim's veh sustained serious enough damage that a tow truck was required.
